Adam, Jack and Ryan Met began their musical career in 2005 when they started writing, producing and mixing their material in their Chelsea apartment in Manhattan, New York. The performances of their as they called it “DIY Indie Pop” began a year later in Central Park and Washington Square Park. At first their musical talents only consisted of Jack on the harmonica, Ryan on the piano and Adam on the bass, however expanded to a variety of instruments. 

In 2012, Ryan tweeted a link to a video of their song “I’m Ready,” which got the attention of a wide range of celebrities including Sia Furler and her manager. Her manager then reached out to the former president of Columbia Records, Steve Greenberg, who helped the band officially release that single on August 22 of 2013. After signing to Warner Music Group, the band released their debut EP I’m Ready in December of 2013. The band’s popularity skyrocketed, resulting in being named iHeart Radio’s Artist of the Month for Top 40 in January 2014. Later that year the AJR released their second EP titled Infinity, pushing back the release of their debut album Living Room to March 3, 2015. 

AJR released their third EP, What Everyone’s Thinking, in September 2016 which included their chart topping single “Weak”. The band released two additional albums, The Click (2017) and Neotheater (2019), each followed by a two-part world tour. Neotheater was AJR’s first album to debut at #1 for Billboard’s Top Alternative Album and Billboard’s Top Rock Album.  The band’s latest single “Bang” was released on February 12 of 2020.
