Taking Back Sunday is a rock band from Long Island, NY.  Originally formed in 1999 by Eddie Reyes, the current members also include Adam Lazzara, John Nolan, Shaun Cooper, and Mark O'Connell.  The band has released four albums, with the most success coming from Louder Now (2006) which has sold over 900,000 copies and peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200.  This was closely followed by Where You Want to Be, which peaked at #3 in 2004.  "MakeDamnSure" is their highest charting single to date, peaking at #8 on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart in 2006 as well as #48 on the Billboard Hot 100.

From the beginning, Taking Back Sunday modeled their interpretation of melodic hardcore after bands like Lifetime, Endpoint, and Sunny Day Real Estate, as well as guitarist Ed Reyes' emo band, The Movielife.
