The KA Theatre located inside the MGM Grand in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada at 3799 S. Las Vegas Blvd. Boasting a seating capacity of 1,950 people it is equipped with 4774 loudspeaker drivers in 2149 cabinets as well as a pair of speakers at ear level in every seat and hundreds more placed around the theatre for optimal effect. A system of infrared video motion and touch-sensitive panels are utilized in the multimedia projection in the show. The Theatre is primarily used for production shows like KA by Cirque du Soleil, KA is the first production that features a cinematic story line with sensational imagery, music, martial arts and amazing acrobats. The theatre is very spacious with comfy seating the center seats are said to be the best for viewing while others say there is not a bad seat in the house. The theatre and stage were designed by British architect Mark Fisher; the structural design and engineering of the stage platforms was by the New York engineering firm McLaren Engineering Group that is owned and operated by Mal McLaren. Timberland Equipment built the Sand Cliff deck and in 2008 the unique floating staged earned Ka the prestigious Thea Award for Outstanding Technical Achievement from the Themed Entertainment Association.
