He is referred to as the King of Comedy for a good reason. No, Kevin James does not owe this to his CBS sitcom, The King of Queens. Rather, the large and curiously animated comedian has captured the title because his humor seems to transcend style. Kevin James tickets appeal to everyone who enjoys laughing, which is a rarity in a day when comedy can be broken down into dark, political, blue collar, hillbilly, race, gender, alternative, absurdist, and any other possible designation one can conceive. That same heart pulled him back to his roots, standup comedy. He has embarked on a couple of tours, and now has found a place where he does not need to travel to make the audience laugh.
