Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros are an American band led by Alex Ebert, who is also a vocalist of the power pop group Ima Robot. To date, the group has released two studio albums, Up from Below (2009) and Here (2012).

The 11-piece indie rock group was formed after Ebert had a brief period of existential crisis. They draw inspiration from the communal musical communities that peppered Southern California with positive vibrations during the '60s and early '70s.

Employing a unique sound that brought to mind a not-so-subtle mix of Parliament, Polyphonic Spree, Bob Marley, and the Incredible String Band, the band has grown in large part thanks to their fiery show, touring often and making several television appearances, including multiple performances on Late Night with David Letterman.
