Mike Epps is an American actor, comedian, voice artist, and singer. He began performing standup as a teenager and later moved to Atlanta where he worked at the Comedy Act Theater. He then moved to NYC in 1995 to work the Def Comedy Jam tour and starred in two of HBO's Def Comedy Jam broadcasts.

One of Epps first major movie roles came in 1999 when the comedian was cast as Ice Cube's co-star in the sequel, Next Friday, taking over the part of Day-Day from Chris Tucker. Some of his other movie appearances include Dr. Dolittle 2, Friday After Next, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Resident Evil: Extinction, and Next Day Air. Epps has also performed in various comedy specials, animated movies, and hosted the 2009 BET Hip-Hop Awards.
