Bush is an alternative rock band that formed in London in 1992 after a chance meeting in a nightclub between vocalist/guitarist Gavin Rossdale and guitarist Nigel Pulsford.  By playing by the grunge rules -- loud guitars, guttural vocals, and stop-start rhythms -- Bush became the first post-Nirvana British band to hit it big in America.  They actually landed an American record deal before they had a British label.

The band found immediate success with the release of their debut album Sixteen Stone in 1994, which is certified 6x multiplatinum by the RIAA.  Bush went on to become one of the most commercially successful rock bands of the 1990s, selling over 10 million records in the US.

Bush have had numerous top ten singles on the Billboard rock charts, and one #1 album for Razorblade Suitcase in 1996.  The band separated in 2002 due to declining record sales and a lack of support from Atlantic Records, but the name was revived in 2010 and they began working on a new album, The Sea of Memories, due for release in September 2011.

Bush's current lineup consists of Gavin Rossdale, Chris Traynor, Corey Britz, and Robin Goodridge.
