The Zac Brown Band was formed during 2000 in Dahlonga, Georgia. It spans several musical genres, including folk, southern rock, and country. In addition to touring across the United States, the group has released four studio albums. Seven singles from those albums have climbed to the Number One position on the Country Music Billboard charts.

The group's founder was born during 1978 in Cumming, Georgia. One of 12 children, he began to play classical guitar when he was seven years old. By the time he was a teenager, he was playing solo gigs at regional venues, covering pop and country songs.

In 2002, the group embarked upon an ambitious national touring schedule, performing more than 200 shows. During 2004, the road schedule became full-time, and a touring bus was purchased. Performances include numerous venues, such as jam band and folk festivals, as well as country and rock clubs.

There are six members of this dynamic and busy musical project. Among them are the founder, who sings and plays percussion, bass guitar, and guitar. Also, Jimmy De Martini (vocals and fiddle), Coy Bowles (keyboards, guitar), John Driskell Hopkins (vocals, guitar, bass guitar), Clay Cook (vocals, steel guitar, mandolin, keyboards, guitar), and Chris Fryar (on drums).

This group has received a variety of accolades from industry professionals. Among them are recognition by the Country Music Association awards, the Grammy awards, and the American Country Music awards. Its nominations and victories span several categories, including Top Vocal Group, Album of the Year, Vocal Event of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Country Album, Best New Artist, and Record of the Year.

The Zac Brown Band maintains a hectic touring schedule. Performances are planned for venues in Indiana, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Utah, Texas, Kansas, Colorado, Ohio, Wyoming, Arkansas, and Manitoba, Canada. In addition, the group will perform at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas, Nevada early in 2014.
