Trevor Noah started off as one of top stand-up comedians in his country to becoming one of the most famous stand-up comedians of today. Born in South Africa, Noah had originally worked as an actor and a radio show host, but soon developed a liking for comedy. He began working with some of South Africa’s top comedians before touring with international comedians such as Paul Rodriguez, Gabriel Iglesias, and Russell Peters. As he started gaining international fame, Noah remained active in his home country’s endeavors, hosting several television programs and even the South Africa Film and Television Awards. In 2011, he officially relocated to the United States and started making appearances on popular talk shows such as The Tonight Show and the Late Show with David Letterman. In 2014, Noah became a recurring guest on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. When Stewart announced his departure, it was announced that Trevor Noah would become the new host of The Daily Show. He has received multiple nominations for his work on the show, including GLAAD awards for Outstanding Talk Show Episode and NAACP Image Award nominations for Outstanding Talk Series and Outstanding Host in a Talk or News/Information Show, and has won numerous awards, including Best Host at the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards. In addition, Noah has written, produced and starred in eight comedy specials, including several on Showtime and Netflix. The comedian has continued doing sold-out shows all across the world, with viewers anticipating his humorous social and political commentary.
