It was only through sheer determination and dance and vocal lessons that she was able to rise from the wheelchair and return to a life on stage. Dance lessons and vocal lessons are still part of her routine as she continues to develop additional strength.

The path through Hollywood has been nearly scandal free for Minnelli. Aside from several marriages and divorces her closest brush with a tabloid affair was drawn from her friendship with Michael Jackson. At the time of his legal troubles, it was said that she backed away from the relationship in an effort to preserve her own integrity. It worked.

Liza Minnelli supports numerous causes. One of her most dedicated causes in Amfar. This is an organization that is dedicated to AIDS developing research, improving AIDS education, and eliminating bigotry that often comes with the disease. Her continued efforts to be part of the change in how the illness is viewed have reached uncountable individuals.
