Julion Alvarez is a Mexican songwriter and singer who decided to form his own band after going his separate way from the Banda MS Mexican Band. At the moment he happens to be of the interpreters of Mexican regional music that is most renowned. Two years ago in 2015 he was singled out and selected in La Voz Mexico, a talent show in Mexico by the show’s producer himself, Miguel Angel Fox. In the fourth edition of the show La Voz Mexico, Julion Alvarez was asked to be a talent show coach. Later his pupil Guido Rochin became the winner, and he was the winning coach. 

A year later in 2015 El Aferrado, the album of Alvarez got nominations for Best Banda Album at the Sixteenth Annual Latin Grammy’s. For Best Regional Song, his song El Amor De Su Vida was nominated.

Alvarez was nominated at the twenty-sixth and twenty-seventh Premio Lo Nuestro for Male Artist of the Year, Regional Mexican. He was selected to produce La Voz Mexico in 2014 and became a voice coach going on to win the show with Guido Rochin, his pupil, to the delight of show producer Miguel Angel Fox. A year later after the show, he was declared by Enrique Pena Nieto, the President of Mexico, as a great example to the youth of Mexico. In the same year, 2015, his El Aferado album won nominations the Best Regional Song nominated was El Amor De Su Vida from his album.

Born and raised in the Concordia Chiapas in the Benito Juarez Municipality, Alvarez spent much of his childhood days participating in one singing contest after another. He got first place in a few of them. At the age of eighteen he enrolled in Industrial Engineering for the fourth semester. He did not do well in this chosen course and moved instead to Mazatlan Sinaloa. He started doing restaurant work and later joined Banda MS, a band from Mexico for a few years. Later, he formed his own group and called this Julion Alvarez y Su Norteno Banda.
