An American band formed in 1971 in Los Angeles, CA by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner. With 5 number-one singles, 6 Grammy Awards, 5 American Music Awards and 6 number-one albums, the Eagles were one of the most successful musical acts in the 70's.  During the 70's no American band sold more records than the Eagles, they are the fifth-highest selling music act and highest-selling American band in US history.

However, it was not until 1975 when they released "One of these Nights" that the Eagles became arguably America's biggest band.  That album included three top 10 singles and then they continued that success and hit their commercial peak in late 1976 with the release of the classic "Hotel California".  Which would go on to sale over 16 million copies in the US and 32 million copies world-wide.

The Eagles disbanded in July 1980 but reunited in 1994 for the album Hell Freezes Over, a mix of live and new studio tracks.  Touring intermittently since then and have also been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 this band is not only legendary they are unstoppable.  In 2007 they released their first full studio album in 28 years and their sixth number one album.

This may or may not be one of the last times to see this band live while they are still touring.  Is that really a chance you want to take?  If you are a true music lover then this concert is one you will regret not getting to see.  This band has been around longer than some of you reading has been alive and they are not only still making music they are still making history.  So come be a part of that and make a memory that will last a lifetime.

The Eagles in Las Vegas

The Eagles have been quite busy since reuniting and releasing Long Road Out of Eden back in 2007. Five years later the group that used quibble and breakup on a whim has managed to learn a little patience with age. Now they support each other’s solo efforts but still come together for big blowout concerts. The next big blowout Eagles tickets for Vegas will be on Sep.27th and 28th at the MGM Grand’s fabulous Garden Arena.

This version of the Eagles features Glenn Fry as a singer and guitarist, Don Henley as a singer and drummer, Joe Walsh (who is busy on a solo tour as well and will be coming to Vegas on his own accord) as the lead guitarist and backup singer, and Timothy B. Schmit as the bassist and singer. The band used to have five members, but Felder left back in 2001 and the remaining four chose not to replace the music legend.

Now, recent comments concerning he possibility of the Eagles releasing an eighth album have yielded responses that make this group appear to be thinking of its own mortality. Schmit said he did not know, especially given the 28 years between the Long Run and the Long Road out of Eden. Walsh did not completely dismiss the notion, but he tempered his response by suggesting such a project would be the last for the four acting together as one band.

While the future remains unclear for the group, the fans must live in the present. This means taking every advantage of enjoying Eagles tickets for the Las Vegas show in November because this group could never survive a residency together nor does it sound like an album is forthcoming. Instead, enjoy live versions of “Hotel California” and “Witchy Woman” while the group is still together. So far this has meant fans taking advantage of every opportunity to enjoy the band live for the last four years. During this time the only controversy has been caused by former band members (re: Don Felder).
