This Saint Patrick’s Day head over to the Historic Railroad Trail in Boulder City for the annual “The Las Vegas Six Tunnels to Hoover Dam St. Patrick’s Day Race.” On March 14th, hundreds of racers will gather in order to compete in either the half marathon, 12K, 5K run or mile stroll.
Each race begins at its assigned time, starting early at 7:30 am with the half marathon, starting at trailhead and continuing through the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and National Park. The race is not only historic, but brings beautiful scenic views. Located 18 miles from Las Vegas, Lake Mead’s National Recreation Area holds the largest man-make lake in the United States.
The highlights of the race include a scenic route, early race day packet pickup options, clearly marked courses, accurate results, post-race snacks, a race shirt, finisher medals and different awards for overall and age groups.
Racers are able to register now through the BBSC Endurance Sports website (https://www.flatironsevents.com/register/stpatricksdayrun). After registering racers are able to pick up their packet on either Friday, March 13th between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. or the day of the race starting at 6:00 a.m. Prices will increase closer to the race date. Awards will be given out at the end of the final race for the top overall men and women in each distance and the top three in each age group.
In addition to racers, volunteers of all ages are welcome! If interested in volunteering please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about official volunteer information and any special requests.
