Roger Waters: US + Them at T-Mobile Arena, June 16th

The legend of Pink Floyd lives on through the creativity of musician Roger Waters. If you haven’t seen him in concert, now is the time! His tour Us + Them rolls into the esteemed T-Mobile Arena in fabulous Las Vegas Friday, June 16, 2017 at 8:00 p.m.

George Roger Waters first rose to popularity when he co-founded the famous rock band Pink-Floyd in 1965. Waters formed the band with the drummer N.Mason, keyboardist Rick Wright and guitarist, singer songwriter S. Barrett. Waters originally served as the iconic band’s bassist but after Barrett left the band in 1968, he stepped into the role of lyricist, co-lead vocalist and conceptual leader. Pink Floyd became the staple of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Multiple generations followed the psychedelic tunes and practically worshipped The Dark Side of the Moon, Animals, The Wall and Wish You Were Here. This adoration led them to become one of the best-selling bands in history. When creative differences led Waters to go his own way in 1985, there would be a nearly 18 year gap before he would ever perform with his old bandmates again.

Waters wasted no time diving into his solo career, beginning with a movie soundtrack and now currently getting ready to travel with his Roger Waters: Us +Them tour. Fans can expect to hear about 75% old favorites and 25% new tunes, according to Waters. The theme of the tour ties to the Pink Floyd album Dark Side of the Moon, which today has sold nearly 45 million copies. For this reason, it remains Pink Floyd’s best commercially selling album. Waters take on these classic songs resonate with new followers and fans who begun their journey with him in the 60s. This tour comes four years after his wildly popular tour The Wall. While the content of his upcoming tour is being kept hush hush, Waters has publically announced that fans will be treated to amazing visuals, Pink Floyd favorites and also new and old songs from his solo career and upcoming album. When the tour kicks off on May 26th, ticket holders will get the first glimpse of what’s coming to their hometowns.

Waters music is certain to cause the dancing and constant cheering he is best known for. Many in the audience never had the opportunity to hear Pink Floyd live, in fact, many may not have even been born yet . That’s part of the magic Water’s brings to the stage – his music resonates with fans across generations, uniting all in an overwhelming appreciation of music, fellowship and, for some, the nostalgia of the late 60s, 70s and 80s. This tour comes as the forerunner of Waters new album release which he outlines as “why are we killing our children?” He’s still in the process of recording the Album with Radiohead’s producer Nigel Godrich.

Las Vegas residents are already anticipating this amazing show. No matter what Waters has up his sleeve, it’s going to be a night of magic, music and tons of dancing. The T-Mobile stadium holds 20,000 and on June 16, 2017 it’s going to be a venue packed with love, music and good old rock n’ roll.
