The Who will be taking over the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in 2020! The legendary rock band will be holding a residency in May as an extension to their Moving On! Tour. Original members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will come with their live band, consisting of guitarist Simon Townshend, keyboardist Loren Gold, bassist Jon Button, drummer Zak Starkey and vocalist Billy Nicolls. The band is expected to perform songs from “WHO,” their first full-length album in 13 years, in addition to some of their classic songs.
The Who is one of the most influential rock bands in history. Their first single, “I Can’t Explain,” reached the top 10 on the UK charts, with all of their following singles doing similar. Their album Tommy helped launch them into the industry with its critical success. Their appearance at the Woodstock festival in 1969 has become one of the most talked about performances of all time and helped secure their fame. They have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and have received a Lifetime Achievement Award. They have sold over 100 million records worldwide and have completed many successful tours. The band is also credited with introducing many assets to standard rock structure, such as PA systems, live feedback, and the power chord guitar technique. The Who is also known for bringing the concept of smashing guitars to light.
