Las Vegas is the live entertainment capital of the world, and it’s obvious to see that the city has lots of magic: literally. Magic shows have been part of the Vegas entertainment scene for decades, and it shows no signs of stopping. For those who may not want to see the risque that is associated with Las Vegas, magic shows are a great family-friendly option. With big names such as David Copperfield and Criss Angel, the city is overflowing with great magicians. Each magician has their own unique style, but all provide a sense of astonishment. Here is a list of some of the most thrilling, heart-stopping magic shows that will leave audiences with their mouths wide open. While you’re in Vegas you might as well complete the trip by getting a Club Pass to have the best night of your life.
1) Penn & Teller
Penn and Teller are world-renowned magicians with their own award-winning television show who have been performing in Vegas for more than 25 years. The duo combines the traditional “hat & rabbit” tricks with their provocative comedy to bring their shows to life. They also do large scale illusions and sleight-of-hand tricks. It is known that the duo may reveal their tricks every now and then, but their performances still leave their audiences stunned. Penn & Teller are currently performing at the Rio. (It is also known that they hold meet and greets right after their shows so make sure to hang around after watching!)
2) Mat Franco
Mat Franco was the first magician to win America’s Got Talent. The self-taught wizard amazed the judges and the audience with his “personality-driven” approach that helped him win the grand prize. Franco specializes in sleight-of-hand card tricks and creating a connection with the audience. Franco is currently headlining at The LINQ with his show Mat Franco- Magic Reinvented Nightly. He performs some tricks from AGT, but also is adamant in creating new spectacles for his shows, making sure to leave the audience awestruck at the end.
3) Shin Lim
Shin Lim won both season 13 of America’s Got Talent and season 1 of America’s Got Talent: The Champions. His intense, choreography-filled performances captivated the judges on the show and skyrocketed his already thriving career. Already completing a headlining show at the Paris, the magician has returned for another residency at the Mirage, entitled Shin Lim: Limitless. Guests can expect to see his world-famous close-up magic and be amazed at the precision of each act.
This is most definitely not an exhaustive list of all magicians, and interested visitors should check each show for age requirements, props used, show times, etc. to fit their personal needs. However, there is most definitely a magic show for everyone, so make sure to experience the magic of Las Vegas as soon as you can! You can get your tickets right here!
