Long-standing rumors were confirmed by Topgolf International, Inc. that yes they are building a state-of-the-art flagship location at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Expected to open in the spring of 2016, the four-level, 105,000-square-foot Topgolf Las Vegas will sit on eight acres and overlook a 215-yard outfield. Patrons can expect 102 hitting bays among the first three levels while the fourth level will be VIP with water features. Plans also include a stage for live musical performances and 3,000 feet of private meeting space. Wanting to appeal to everyone the facility can comfortably cater events ranging from 10 to 2,000 people.
“Topgolf Las Vegas is unlike anything we have ever endeavored to build,” said Topgolf Executive Chairman Erik Anderson. After three years of planning their dream is becoming a reality. The facility was designed by YWS Architects. Topgolf plans on hosting millions of Topgolf fans as they choose Las Vegas as their destination city. Las Vegas native Bryan O’Reilly is working as Topgolf’s local partner and was instrumental in closing the deal. Topgolf also noted that 34th Floor Hospitality has been providing consulting services for operations. The atmosphere patrons can expect will feature high-energy, interactive sports with a specialized entertainment experience unique to Las Vegas alone. Right down the road at the Delano, formerly The Hotel, Alaine Ducasse is replacing his own restaurant Mix with a Vegas branch of his already popular Rivea restaurant they will be serving French and Italian dishes and can be expected to open by summer 2015. Just a hop, skip and taxi ride down the road at the just recently opened Linq Promenade, Chef Gordon Ramsay will be opening a quick-bite fish and chips in a uniquely designed space that will be called Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips. The takeaway-style British restaurant will feature of course, fish and chips as well as other types of traditional British comfort food. Award winning Chef Ramsay already has three extremely successful ventures in Las Vegas currently. We all wait patiently as he continues to bring flavors and International culture from the UK to the Strip.
