Going to brunch in Las Vegas can have a variety of feels; for instance if you want to go brunch in your PJ’s after a very long night, you head over to Simon at Palms Place, and if you want a lobster and champagne you go over to Bally’s. Now Las Vegas has taken a provocative twist and added another genre of brunch, a Porn brunch. Al Mancini, a co-author of “ Eating Las Vegas: 50 Essential Restaurants”, is teaming up with porn star Joanna Angel and her Burning Angels friends on Sunday in a private dining room at First Food and Bar at The Palazzo. Chef Sammy DeMarco and the girls have designed the menu, and go from table to table to explain the dishes to you. The girls are in town for the AVN porn star convention, January 18 – 21, which wraps up the awards show tonight at the Hard Rock Hotel.
Weighed down by the costs, The Venetian’s “Phantom—The Las Vegas Spectacular” will close September 2nd. The total start up cost for this production was $77 million, and after two years of production they still fall $20 million short of the original investment. The cast of the Broadway musical was officially informed on Tuesday, although it did not come as a complete shock as there were rumors floating around since October. The cost of the chandelier and the cost making of this spectacular theatre sadly came out to be more than the revenue. Other than New York, Las Vegas is the longest running “Phantom” show in the United States, and they are all very proud of that. As sad as it is the time has come to shut it down. So don’t miss your chance to see this amazing show before it’s gone forever. Get your Phantom Las Vegas Tickets here.
