Julio Cesar Chavez Vs. Matt Vanda
Julio Chavez Jr. (37-0-1, 29 KOs), son of the legendary three-division world champion Julio Cesar Chavez, will risk his 38-bout unbeaten streak against Matt “The Predator” Vanda (38-7, 21 KOs), in a rematch of their exciting brawl in July. Chavez tired badly in a 10-round fight with Vanda in Hermosillo, Mexico. Chavez was favored by four points on one judge's card, while another favored Vanda by one point and a third judge gave all 10 rounds to Chavez. Chavez won that battle with a close, hard-fought split decision. The question remains, will yet another victim be buried in “Chavez Ravine” or will “The Predator” put an end to one of boxing’s most impressive unbeaten streaks.
