No one would ever accuse comedian and actor Eddie Izzard of being commonplace. The British-born Izzard has wowed critics and audiences alike with his wholly original style, starting with his premiere one-man show Live at the Ambassadors in 1993. Since then, Izzard has had a string of critically acclaimed live shows that have earned him top awards from Time Out and the Perrier Panel. Live at the Ambassadors received an Olivier Award nomination for Outstanding Achievement, and Izzard won the British Comedy Award for Top Stand-Up Comedian in 1993 and 1996. 1998's Dressed To Kill earned him a New York Drama Desk Award and two Emmy's.
