Roger Daltrey was born on March 1, 1944 in London, England and attended the London's Action Country Grammar School. When finished, he worked in a steel mill and formed a band called the Detours. After numerous name changes, the band eventually turned into one of the most popular bands today, The Who.

The Who were initially known for destroying their instruments while playing them, but not so much for their music. Eventually, their songs paved their way to fame, which is what they are known for now. One of their most popular songs is the rock opera "Tommy."

Daltrey moved on to producing solo albums, which were highly rated. He was also able to step into the acting spotlight as well. Initially, he starred in the film Tommy, which provided a visual to the popular Who rock opera, "Tommy."  Talk about things coming full circle.

While producing and acting in several films, Daltrey never missed a beat with The Who. He has continued to tour with them and in 1990, The Who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Later on, Daltrey was named Commander of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth the second.

Daltrey has known to be the driving force behind The Who, he was in charge of writing the vocals after all. Not only was he able to carry The Who, he was able to become an actor and a producer. Now it is time to see this rock legend perform live at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in fabulous Las Vegas in October.
