The 80S brought about a new sound and style of music born in the musician The Artist formerly known as Prince. Prince was naughty and outspoken while also exhibiting a teasing persona that brought thousands to his performances. While those days have come and gone, fans can still get a dose of that sexy and tantalizing voice today from Jason Tenner, Purple Reign the Musician. Tenner is a dead ringer and may as well be the reincarnation of this 80s superstar. Starting performances began in Las Vegas where many other impersonators got their chance to perform as well. The last 14 years have brought to Tenner an awesome level of fame. In addition to his stunning performance that exhibits the exact kind of energy and persona of Prince, Tenners show also includes an appearance by his older brother, Levant Marcus as Morris Day from The Time. Reviews from people that have seen these two on stage have great remarks about the intensity and originality of their performances.
This fantastic performer got his start inadvertently by dressing up as Prince to attend a Halloween costume party. To his shock and amazement, people began screaming and going crazy, saying Prince was there. Everyone came up to him for his autograph, thinking he was indeed the real Prince. From this moment in 1996, Tenner began impersonating the artist.
Music is an intricate part of Tenner and it shines through on stage. His voice is high and clear while singing the songs Prince made popular in the 80s. It is truly amazing to hear the voice and see the face of Prince in this young man on stage.
Many of the fans that have written reviews about his show state they would go many times again if given the chance. In fact, not one single negative review was written and some of the fans writing these reviews never listened to The Artist that much back in the day.
