Mountain West Conference Tournament Tickets
Every single year, thousands of men and women travel to a neutral site to witness the Mountain West Conference Basketball Tournament. This year, the tournament will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Mountain West Conference includes Air Force, Boise State, Fresno State, New Mexico, San Diego State, San Jose State, UNLV, Utah State, Colorado State, Wyoming, and Nevada. While the conference covers a variety of sports, the tournament in Las Vegas will focus on basketball from March 6 through March 11.
Right now, the projected standings have Nevada tied with Colorado State for first place, followed by Boise State, Fresno State, New Mexico, San Diego State, Wyoming, Utah State, San Jose State, Air Force, and UNLV respectively. These standings will help determine how the teams are placed within the tournament bracket.
The chance a team has of winning the Mountain West Conference Tournament in Las Vegas depends only partially on where the team begins in the bracket. Often times, a team with better standing within the bracket could have a more difficult time winning. This is because Mountain West standings are based on win-loss records within conference games – meaning the placement within the bracket is not always entirely accurate when it comes to the performance level of the team. At the moment, Team Rankings has Nevada in the winning position. However, it’s always fun to watch the underdog win. This is why so many fans turn up for conference games, even when the results seem predetermined. Some of the most incredible games have taken place when an underdog faces the leading team.
Fans should also keep in mind that both male and female teams will be playing in the tournament. This means two separate schools could take the title home.
The tournament games will take place at Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas
