Morris Day is an American musician, composer, and actor best known for being the lead singer of The Time. Morris Day, Prince and André Cymone formed an early band while in high school called “Grand Central” before he and Cymone formed a side group after Price went solo. The 80s were the most prolific and visible period after Day played the antagonist to Prince in his feature film Purple Rain and Graffiti Bridge. Winning fans with his eccentric presence, exaggerated vanity and strutting bravado. This persona was further used to accentuate Day’s personality on song’s such as “Chili Sauce” and “If the Kid Can’t Make You Come” from the album Ice Cream Castle.
