Lenny Kravitz Tickets Las Vegas
Lenny Kravitz is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, actor, and arranger. Kravitz's "retro" style incorporates elements of rock, soul, R&B, funk, reggae, hard rock, psychedelic, folk, and ballads. In addition to singing lead and backing vocals, Kravitz often plays all the guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and percussion himself when recording.
One of the first rock superstars to emerge at the start of the 1990s, Lenny made a name for himself by producing a string of thunderous, hook-laden, multiplatinum albums. Beginning with his 1989 debut Let Love Rule, Kravitz displayed a deft ability to blend aggressive guitar-driven rock with smooth R&B rhythms and anthemic lyrics, which proved to be a consistant hit-making combination. A multiple Grammy winner, he's still going strong more than 20 years after recording his first album.
In 2008, Kravitz released his eighth studio album, It Is Time for A Love Revolution. Rolling Stone reviewer David Fricke called it "the best album Lenny Kravitz has ever made -- a visceral, expertly tailored blend of late 60s and early 70s classic-rock paraphrases with just enough modernizing to justify the record's copyright date."
Kravitz was honored in December 2011 with one of the highest cultural awards in France when he was made an Officer of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by French cultural minister Frederic Mitterrand in Paris. Lenny stated he was "particularly touched" to receive the award in France as his success in the country pre-dates his success in the United States and still enjoys great record sales in the country today. Kravitz joins other American recipients such as Martin Scorsese, George Clooney, and Bob Dylan.
