Kansas is an American rock band made up of five men who have been playing and writing progressive rock for over 40 years now. The band is no stranger to the ever evolving music industry as they dedicated their lives to get play to the tastes of multiple generations of music lovers. The first public statement that came from the band was from an album in 1974 where the stated that their music is different, and they hope to remain so as long as they perform.

When the first appeared on the scene, little did they know that their music would go on to influence many generations. As critics and fans cheered on for ages, the band always managed to keep their music ahead of their time. When this little garage band from Topeka release their debut album after being discovered by Wally Gold, nobody could fathom in 1974 that Kansas would go on to become one of the legends of the music industry.
