Carry On My Wayward Son made the record of being the second most played a track on rock radio in the year 1995, but it snatched the first position in 1997. The band released their experimental orchestral album titled "Always Never the Same" in 1998, which was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London in collaboration with the London Symphony Orchestra.
Kansas went back to the studio in 2000 with their original songwriter and band member Kerry Livgren. The result came up as the new album "Somewhere to Elsewhere", which was the first album that contained all the six original players that were recorded over 20 years. "Sail On" was a boxed set released by Sony music in 2004, which was a special release that contained vented video footage of the band's performances. Fast forward five years, the band celebrated their 35th anniversary in their hometown of Topeka with a symphonic concert. This spectacular show was released on DVD titled "There's Know Place Like Home", and it captured the unique performances by special guests Steve Morse and Kerry Livgren in high-resolution quality and brilliant sound.
