Inner Circle is a Jamaican reggae group. If you are not sure if you've ever heard a song from them, consider this -- if you've seen an episode of COPS on television or watched either of the "Bad Boys" movies, you have. The 1987 worldwide smash "Bad Boys" single was one of their most successful hits. Formed as The Inner Circle Band in 1968, they hit the big time in Jamaica during the '70s as a danceable yet rootsy Rastafarian reggae outfit, fronted by the charismatic singer Jacob Miller.

The current members of Inner Circle include Ian Lewis (bass guitar, vocals), Bernard Harvey (keyboards, vocals), Lancelot Hall (drums, percussion), and Roger Lewis (guitar, vocals). In 2012, the band launched the 'Saving The Reggae Music' campaign with the aim of promoting traditional reggae music over the increasingly US-influenced music coming out of Jamaica. Inner Circle's upcoming album, Dubets, will feature collaborations with Peetah morgan, Ken Boothe, Marcia Griffiths, Glen Washington, Ali Campbell of UB40, Gramps Morgan, A.J. Brown, and Marty Dread.
