The Who TicketsThe Who Tickets Las Vegas

Unlike many bands, the Who do not have an aversion to cold weather. If they had they would not take a tour of the northern states and the Canadian provinces in November and December. Sure they have a few hotspots so Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend do not end the 2012-2013 tour frost bitten (yes, they play inside, but that does not mean venturing outside is any less terrifying). One of those warmer shows is on February 8, 2013 at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel. By this time the two remaining original members may be lobbying for an extended residency on the Strip, but there will only be Who tickets for this one show in Sin City as of right now.

Perhaps the Who would have taken to the road a little earlier, but they had to close the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. It would be difficult for any group to turn down a chance to headline the closing ceremonies. They ended the ceremonies on a high note where the opening ceremonies left a bit to be desired. That night they performed “Baba O’Riley”, followed it with “See Me, Feel Me”, and closed it down with “My Generation”.

The Who has been inspired by the trend of groups playing some of their most beloved albums decades later. In this case, the Who are performing Quadrophenia. The rock opera tells the story of an English teenager in 1964 and 1965 as he, Jimmy, is explored in four sections (a representation of his four dominant personalities and the Who’s four very different members at the time of the recording). The Who will be performing this album in order though fans will show the most interest in listening to Love Reign O’er Me” and “5:15”.

With only two remaining original members and an unwillingness to take on two additional members, the stage will be filled with touring musicians, which is fitting as Daltrey and Townshend certainly have established they are extremely talented and have massive enough egos to dominate the stage with half the original lineup (drummer Keith Moon passed away in 1978 and bassist John Entwistle died a decade ago).
