Hopefully, everyone knows that when I am talking about The Eagles, I am talking about the band, not the animal. Just had to clear that up. The Eagles are the band that created, "Hotel California," for the people out there that like certain songs, but have no idea who the artists are. The Eagles are a top flight band with four number one albums and are one of the most successful recording artists of the 1970s. They have a great reputation, but how did they get to the level they are at now?

The four original band members of The Eagles were not even from California, but were musicians that migrated to the West Coast and were based in Los Angeles. The four members were Randy Meisner, Bernie Leadon, Don Henley, and Glenn Frey. They did not just come together and shoot off towards the stars. They originally were all in the same back up band of Linda Ronstadt, when she was touring and they were all on stage only once, and that was at Disney Land.

It wasn't until September of 1971 that they signed with David Geffen, their manager, and flew off to England to record their debut album with producer Glyn Johns for Asylum Records.

From there, they toured as an opening act and went on to produce their second album. Then another and another and another and another! The best part is, all of  their albums were high ranking on the music charts. They were able to produce quality and quantity. In between creating the albums, they were touring everywhere. They were keeping pretty busy.

The band broke up in May 1982, but eventually came back together in the spring of 1994. They also were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in January 1998.

Even after so many accomplishments, The Eagles are still producing albums and are still touring. The Eagles will be at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in November to perform and excite the crowd, just like they have done throughout the ages.
