Born Eillen Regina Edwards on August 1965, Shania Twain has become a household name in the entertainment industry with her numerous hit songs. The Canadian pop singer and songwriter, who was the second born in a family of five, has sold over fifty million copies worldwide and the numbers are still on the rise every passing day.

Growing up in Ontario Canada, her family which was economically unstable, struggled to put food on the table and Shania Twain often found comfort playing guitar. After the death of her parents in a car accident, she started performing at a nearby resort to enable her take care of her younger siblings.This was the start of her music career.

Her entry to the international music industry was in 1993 with the release of her self titled album which had the hit single, "What Made You Say That". She went ahead to win the rising video star of the year award in the European country music television awards. That was the start of a new era in the music world as the pop diva has released hit after hit.

Her second album, "The Woman In Me" has sold more than eighteen million copies. To date she has released five albums all which have featured in the billboard charts. Shania Twain's famous hit songs include, "I'm Gonna Getcha Good", "You're Still The One", "Come On Over", "Any Man Of Mine", "I'm Outta Here", "I Feel Like A Woman", "No One Needs To Know", and "You Win My Love".

In terms of awards and recognitions, the top selling Canadian singer has won over 30 international recognized awards. She has under her belt five Grammy awards for Best Country Female (two), Best Country Songs (two) and Best Country Album. In March 2011 she became a member of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and in June that same year, she joined the exclusive club at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
