Rock of Ages is a Broadway musical which features 80's rock music from the likes of Styx, Night Ranger, Pat Benatar, Poison, Twisted Sister and Bon Jovi among others.  This show is noted for being more lighthearted and comedic than other Broadway shows, with the performers frequently breaking the "fourth wall," directly addressing the audience and seemingly forgetting (or maybe reminding the audience) that they are actors in a musical.

The show is set in 1987 in the Bourbon Room, a bar on LA's Sunset Strip.  Drew and Sherrie, both from small towns in the US, are in LA pursuing the dream of hitting the big time and falling in love.  While many members of the cast are on a pit stop to finding their dreams as a performer, evil developers show up planning on destroying the Sunset Strip for money.

If you love songs from the 80s like "Every Rose Has Its Thorn", "I Wanna Know What Love Is" and "Here I Go Again", then Rock of Ages is the show for you.
