Come out to the MGM Grand and see the 15th annual pre-season hockey battle between the Los Angeles Kings and the Colorado Avalanche. Frozen Fury X and Frozen Fury XI both ended in shootouts with the teams splitting wins, but in Frozen Fury XII the Kings managed to get the win in regulation. The game ended 5-3 with an empty netter by Wayne Simmonds with about one second left in the game. The Kings also squeaked out another win in Frozen Fury XIII, winning 3-2. Although the Avs beat the Kings in last years match, the Kings got the last laugh winning the Stanley Cup.
To date, the Los Angeles Kings have played the Colorado Avalanche in a total of 13 Frozen Fury's. The Kings lead the series 8-5.
