The Defending the Caveman show in Las Vegas is a permanent production presented by Harrah's Resort and Casino on the Strip. The performance is being staged in the Improv Theater. This legendary theater has been popular for 25 years, and has been voted the city's Best Comedy Club for several consecutive years.

The resort opened in 1973 as the Holiday Casino in front of the Holiday Inn. Its parent company was Riverboat, Inc., and the casino's theme was initially based on a riverboat. In 1983, Holiday Inn became the sole owner.

Currently, this resort is operated and owned by Caesar's Entertainment Group. It features 2,677 guest rooms, several towers, a court yard, and more than 1,200 slot machines throughout the 86,664 square-foot casino. A monorail stop is located in back of the resort, and a free shuttle provides transportation to sister Caesar Entertainment resort, the Rio.

During 1997, this resort was extensively renovated. Its original riverboat theme was replaced by a Mardi-Gras carnival motif. The renovated decor incorporates six massive sculptures weighing 22,000 pounds each. They stand 32 feet tall, and are crafted from 23-karat gold-leaf.

This production is a comedy based on the interactions between women and men. It's a blend of therapy, lecture, and stand-up comedy. The skits incorporate a variety of topics, including the erogenous zone, male sensitivity, and contemporary feminism.

Written by Rob Becker (actor and comedian), it debuted in June of 1991 in San Francisco. He wrote it during a three-year period in which he studied prehistory, sociology and psychology. He designed the script to facilitate peacemaking and enhance understandings between the sexes.

Since its debut, it has been performed in more than 45 countries, and 30 languages. More than 40 acclaimed actors continue to present this production throughout the world. It has broken the record for the longest-running solo show on Broadway.

Defending the Caveman show in Las Vegas has a nightly run, beginning at 7 o'clock. Ticket prices vary according to seating sections. Guests will enjoy every minute of the production.
