The Cirque du Soleil Mystere in Las Vegas show is being presented at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. The production debuted in December of 1993, and became the first of the company's seven residency shows in the city. Cirque is known as a contemporary circus, and features spectacular performances which blend gravity-defying acrobatics, dance moves and vocals, with sports moves, martial arts, and street-style comedy. The productions are top-rated, and incorporate state-of-the-art audiovisual systems, dazzling costumes, and engaging sets.

Mystere celebrates the fact that life is a mystery. Its international cast includes 72 exceptional acrobats, singers, dancers, and musicians. Numerous captivating acts are featured during the performance. They include the aerial cube, in which a virtuoso acrobat performs a gravity-defying ballet. The aerial high-bars feature 14 world-class athletes from Russia, Canada, Romania and the United States. They perform fascinating routines on a symmetrical metal structure which spins 40 feet above the stage.

The bungee routine represents a flock of majestic birds. Supported by an elastic waist harness, these performers dive, drop, fall, and twist in unison. The Chinese pole routine features eight acrobats who ascend and descend the poles upright, upside down, and side-ways. Their movements represent sprouting vines and organic life.

The thrilling clown act blends superb comic timing with dangerous antics. The hand-to-hand routine is a mesmerizing performance of two exceptionally strong, disciplined, and skilled athletes. Relying upon stamina and strength, two brothers demonstrate harmony through the fusion of grace and power.

The Taiko act symbolizes the Big Bang, and launches the never-ending journey of the primitives. The trampoline act presents the comic chorus. Amid the challenges of humanity, they remain jolly. These skilled acrobats perform amazing bouncing and balancing routines.

The Cirque du Soleil Mystere in Las Vegas production is suitable for audiences of all ages. It is in residency at the Treasure Island Resort, which is conveniently located on The Strip. The regular schedule includes two performances each evening, Saturdays through Wednesdays.
