Andrew Dice Clay is an American actor and comedian.  Early in his career, his off color humor seemed to be his signature.  He is offensive as a comedian, telling it like it is, but his popularity is amazing.  He is one of the most successful American comedians.

After working the comedy club route in the 1980s, he has appeared on several Rodney Dangerfield’s HBO specials, and some of his own.  His career was launched into high gear. He is one of the few comedians to sell out his Madison Square Gardens shows two nights in a row.

His women bashing, cursing, and crude sexual humor had to be curtailed.  He was banned by MTV in 1989 for his “adult Nursery Rhymes.”  In 2011, that was overturned. Women’s rights groups were bold in voicing their opinion of Andrew Dice Clay, because of his offensive remarks about women.   He cleaned up his act and performed some made for TV shows.  These shows didn’t last long because women’s rights groups were pressuring the networks.  Without much support, he decided to fade out of the comedy/show business for several years.  He ran a workout/fitness gym in Brooklyn for a number of years.

The 54 year old is divorced with two sons.  One of his sons, Max, has followed in his father’s footsteps.  He is a comedian.  Occasionally, his son opens for him when he is on tour.
