Since he was16 years old, Glen has been performing. Before his name became famous he was a well-regarded studio guitarist during the early 60's. He played on the famous single "Tequila" and played and toured with the Beach Boys in support of their revolutionary Pet Sounds album.

His solo career took off in 1967 with the release of the mega-hit "Gentle on My Mind". His success skyrocketed higher with the follow-up hit, "By the Time I Get to Phoenix." This firmly established him as both a fan and critical success. He won two Grammy's for his performances of these hits.

Film was the next medium to conquer. John Wayne personally chose him to play La Boeuf, the young and passionate Texas Ranger in the film True Grit. His talent and magnetism was evident and the role won him a Golden Globe nomination. This time in front of the camera lead to a new direction for him.

The beginning of the 70's saw Campbell enter a new phase of his career. The medium of TV was exploding and he hosted a popular variety show. But the passion for making music never stopped. His popularity exploded with the release of "Rhinestone Cowboy" and "Southern Nights" both of which hit number one.

A musician's life is about touring, and he has circled the globe many times on tour. He has not only been popular with audiences, but the music industry has honored him many times over with awards from the Academy of Country Music, American Music Awards, Country Music Association, Country Music Association of Great Britain, Musicians' Hall of Fame, Gospel Music Association and the Country Radio Broadcasters. He has also earned 9 Grammy Awards. The most recent, the Lifetime Achievement Award bestowed in 2012.
