Daryl Hall and John Oates
Daryl Hall and John Oates are a fantastic pop and rock duet who come from Philadelphia Pennsylvania in the United States of America. They formed in 1970 and have since released 18 full-length albums over their incredible 40 year career. They met when they separately performed at a band competition in Philadelphia. Hall perfumed with his band, the Temptones and Oates with his band call the Masters. They then went on to share several apartments before attracting the attention of Tommy Mottola who became their manager and secured a contract with Atlantic Records.
In the early releases Hall and Oates were more about ironing out their unique sound, finding out what worked and what didn't work so much. They worked with two producers Arif Mardin and Todd Rundgren on their early albums including'Whole Oats’ (1972) 'Abandoned Luncheonette’ (1973) and 'War babies’ (1974) but despite big name producers, the band achieved little commercial success. In the late seventies, more of a rock incorporated style was introduced into the blue-eyes soul of Hall and Oates. Their new sound wasn't massively successful until the time between 1980 and 1985 where the passionate band not only enjoyed their greatest commercial success but also the greatest artistic success of their career. In April 1984 the Recording Association of America announced Hall and Oates were the most successful rock band in rock history with 19 platinum and gold awards. Surpassing even the Everly Brothers! 'Maneater’, the biggest hit single, 'You Make My Dreams’ and 'Private Eyes’ ensured the pair remained around the top of the charts. They have 11 live albums and have 27 Greatest hits! Even better in 2014, the pair were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

The early autumn hotel will be held at the MGM Grand hotel and casino which is a 4* hotel on the Las Vegas strip in Paradise, Nervada. It is the largest hotel in the United States and the third largest hotel complex in the world!!! It opened in 1993, when it was the largest hotel complex in the world. It's 293feet high (thirty floors) and includes five outdoorsy pools, rivers and waterfalls that cover 6.6 acres. That's bigger than a football stadium! It has numerous shops, nightclubs, restaurants and a Casino which is the largest Casino in Clark County! When MGM grand was opened it had an extensive Wizard of Oz theme! (Cool, Right?) The Casino was emerald green city and even had the infamous characters at the front of the city but that's not all it even had a yellow brick road walkthrough! Sadly when MGM started a massive renovation in 1993, the emerald city was the first to go. In 1998, a statue of Leo was added and is the largest statue in the United States weighing fifty tons and forty-five feet high!
