Standup meets makeup as Venetian is set for season two of the all-female comedy series Lipshtick.  Venetian President John Caparella has done what no other has done.  He offered up the first all-female comedy troupe to spotlight some of the country’s most funny women.  Most all places usually cater to the males with their many series around the city like the Mirage’s “Aces of Comedy” series, or the Palms as they play primarily to the male demographic.  So the Venetian decided to be the one to do something about it.   So they are now in their second season of Lipshtick: A Perfect Shade of Stand Up and the line up keeps getting better.  This year they have added Cameron Esposito who is being called the “future of comedy” by none of than Jay Leno.  Esposito is one of the fastest rising Los Angeles based standup comic, actor and writer.  Get your Cameron Esposito Lipshtick tickets here.  She has her own standup show, Put Your Hands Together, every Tuesday night at the famed Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles, and she has her own biweekly column about life as a standup comic on The AV Club.  She released her album, Same Sex Symbol in the fall 2014, it debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy charts and held strong at #3 on Billboard for several weeks.  Same Sex Symbol was named a Best of 2014 comedy album by The AV Club.  Cameron was named Comic to Watch by LA Weekly, Time Out Los Angeles, Jezebel, Los Angeles Magazine and Cosmopolitan Magazine.  She is currently releasing her first book from Hackette/Grand Central Publishing.  Like Jay said this is one lady to keep your eye on.  She is rising faster than yeast bread on a hot day so make sure to come out and enjoy the amazing line up of funny women the Venetian has in store for you.
