For kids and adults, this is a fantastic re-interpretation of the now classic Disney animated film. Surprisingly, the story of little lion cub Simba who must learn to become the “Lion King” after his father Mufasa is killed plays much darker in a live action setting. It retains the magic and wonder, but the darker overtones of Disney’s original film are enhanced by the live-action actors.
While there are echoes of the performances from the movie’s voice talent, by enlarge the cast of the Mandalay Bay version find a way to make each role their own. The music is also unparalleled – with Elton John and Tim Rice’s contributions standing the test of time. From “Can you feel the Love Tonight” to “Circle of Life,” they’re transformed into glorious stage numbers that really bring out the nuance and complexity of each song.

After almost five years entertaining thousands of fans in Las Vegas, record selling singer and performer Barry Manilow is preparing for what is going to be his last shows in Las Vegas.
Aussie Pop celebrity and award winning singer, Kylie Minogue, has been offered a residency in Las Vegas after impressing fans and producers with her concert at the Pearl Concert Theater.
Considered the largest and most exciting adult Halloween event in Las Vegas, the Fetish and Fantasy Halloween Ball will feature erotic stage performances by special guests Girls in Rubber and the Men of Playgirl, lasers and lights, DJs and live music, a costume contest, vendors, dance floor, including an independent old school dance area, stilt walkers, monsters and surprises.
Former Playboy Playmate and Girls of the Playboy Mansion star Holly Madison, has begun recording scenes for her new reality TV show “Planet Holly”, which will chronicle Madison's new life in Las Vegas. You can also see her in the Peepshow at Planet Hollywood.
For sixth time in its 16-year history, the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Built Ford Tough World Finals will be back in Las Vegas to present the greatest bull riding athletes on the planet competing for more than $3 million in prize money. This year's event will run for two consecutive weekends, Oct. 30-Nov. 1 and Nov. 5-8, 2009, at the Thomas and Mack Center.
Officials of the Ultimate Fighting Championship have announced that Brazilian heavyweight titans Junior Dos Santos and Gabriel Gonzaga will meet at the UFC 108. The event will take place on January 2nd at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
The Miss America Organization has announced that Radio Host and conservative political commentator Rush Limbaugh will be a judge for the 2010 Miss America pageant in Las Vegas. The event will be held at Planet Hollywood on January 30th, and broadcast live on TLC.
