The iconic rock-band Maroon 5 is expected to perform in Las Vegas soon as part of their Red Pill Blues Tour. The Los Angeles based pop rock music group consists of members; PJ Morton the keyboardist, Mickey Madden bassist, James Valentine lead guitarist, Jesse Carmichael rhythm guitarist/keyboardist and the most recognizable voice Adam Levine who is the lead vocalist. Those planning to attend the Maroon 5 Concert in Vegas should expect to hear some of their popular hit songs from the Red Pill Blues album, which was released late last year. Some of these hits that will be performed live on stage include; What Lovers Do, Don’t Wanna Know and Girls Like You which ran for 7 consecutive weeks as No.1 on the Bill-board Hot 100 list.
The concert will mostly be R&B influenced, following the album’s theme which also has a similar music style, plus the group may also bring along a special guest artists to add more flavor to their performance.
The Maroon 5 claim their music style was shaped by legends such as; Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake, Marvin Gaye, Prince, The Police and Tonic. Moreover, Adam Levine mentions that all their music is written and performed by themselves since they are pretty much a self-contained unit. They do their own management as a band and are not controlled by anyone from outside. However, the band still works with professional songwriters and producers occasionally for certain songs like ‘Moves like Jagger.
One of Maroon 5’s most distinguishing facts is that their music style often changes from one album to another. For instance, in the album ‘It Won’t Be Soon Before Long’ the songs have a retro and electric feel, whereas ‘Hands All Over’ follows a lovers theme and their latest album ‘Red Pill Blues’ has an R&B flavor.
