Baseball fans have a reason to circle Saturday-Sunday March 25-26, 2017 on their calendars. The schedule for the 2017 Big League Weekend at Cashman Field has been announced by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and the Las Vegas 51sprofessional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets.
The 2016 World Series Champion Chicago Cubs will be in Las Vegas for the 13th consecutive year for a two-game series against the Cincinnati Reds. Game times for the Spring Training event are TBD due to television obligations, however, Big League Weekend tickets are already on sale now.
Along with the red hot Cubs, the Reds will be making their third all-time appearance to Cashman Field for this exciting weekend event. The last time Cincinnati played in this event was actually against the Cubs on March 12, 2011, which resulted in a Reds 9-8 victory.
Before breaking the curse and winning the 2016 World Series, the Cubs have played these fun Spring Training games to 18 sold out crowds over the past 12 years at Cashman Field. Due to their heightened popularity, these tickets will go fast, so be sure to secure your 2017 Big League Weekend tickets early to ensure you don’t miss out on all the fun!
