Fresh is a Barbadian born American rapper otherwise known as “The Human Beat Box.” He is the pioneer of the 20-century American beatboxing where the artist can imitate correctly drum machines and other various special effects using only his mouth, lips, throat, tongue and a microphone. The California-based Beatles tribute band, The Fab Four, are coming to The Orleans for two nights this June 11 & 12. The group founded in 1997 by Ron McNeil, who is a John Lennon impersonator and also the President of The Fab Four Corp. The Fab Four got their start as a regular at Disneyland’s Tomorrowland Terrace, and also at The Hop and Scruffy O’Sheas. Since then they have been a regular in multiple Las Vegas hot spots such as the Las Vegas Hilton, The Aladdin, The Sahara, and The Riviera. They have taken their tribute band international performing in Japan, Malaysia, France, Hong Kong, The United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Mexico, and Brazil. They received an Emmy Award for their PBS special filmed in 2012. Carlos Mencia the hilarious comedian and actor who makes audiences around the world laugh at his insightful humor on race, culture, and social class. Fans can see Mencia performing live on stage at The Orleans Hotel and casino in the intimate 850-seat Orleans Showroom this June on Friday the 24th and Saturday the 25th at 8:00PM. Carlos brings his “C 4 Urself Tour” to The Orleans Showroom for two nights. While many comedians shy away from topics of race, culture and social class in general Mencia uses them as his comedic filler. He gained popularity from his man-on-the-street interviews to commercial parodies to films and doing stand-up. Born in the Honduras, Mencia was raised by his Aunt in East Los Angeles. He launched his career at the Laugh Factory and The Comedy Store in LA where he established himself as a successful act. He has been named International Comedy Grand Champion from “Buscando Estrellas,” the Latino version of “Star Search,” His own series “Mind of Mencia” launched and had a very successful run on Comedy Central after the success of his DVD “Carlos Mencia: Not for the Easily Offended.” Fans have loved each of his comedy specials including his 2011 Comedy Central Special “New Territory” which grew out of his personal journey towards self-improvement. His film credits include “The Heartbreak Kid,” the 2010 family comedy “Our Family Wedding,” and the 2012 documentary “Phunny Business: A Black Comedy.” This tour is a return to his comedy roots of touring, performing and writing, bringing his unique brand of funny to audiences around the world on his current “C 4 Urself Tour.”
