The skies will shine brighter than they ever have, even in the neon light city. Las Vegas’ fireworks show will be one to never forget, with fireworks shooting off of eight Strip hotel rooftops. Around half a million dollars of Grucci Fireworks will be on display shooting off of the Tropicana, Planet Hollywood, Caesars Palace, The Venetian, The Stratosphere, MGM Grand, Aria and Treasure Island. Considering how many fireworks will be going off, there are 60 pyro-technicians that will be spending a week putting together an eight-minute astonishing display of fireworks. When the show begins, it will be set to the background music of “Viva Las Vegas”. The evening will be filled with spectacular fireworks and cheer!

The talented teen heartthrob, Justin Bieber is a man of his word! Back in November on the Ellen Degeneres Show, Bieber made a promise of matching a $100,000 commitment by Target to aid the Whitney Elementary School in Las Vegas. He kept his promise and on Decemeber 16th he made his contribution to help the poverty-stricken school. When he personally delivered the check of $100,000 he performed a mini concert for the student, of which most come from low-income families. The Whitney Elementary School provides assistance to its hundreds of student, many which are homeless, by providing haircuts, clothes closet, food pantry and literacy training all on campus. Bieber’s contribution is coming out of his own pocket and not out of his foundation Believe. His money will go to providing the school with all it needs in order to keep running and providing students with the necessities they need. A true Holiday miracle for a lot of those families.

Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon took place on Sunday. The city’s first ever nighttime marathon had the streets blocked off for eight hours, which is the longest it has ever been shut down excluding New Year’s Eve. This wild event drew in 44,000 runners making it the third largest marathon event in the country, but we all know it wouldn’t be Vegas without the Elvis impersonators, booze, live music, and neon lights. Runners were dressed in costumes and even got married at the 2-mile mark for the half marathon. 41 couples took their vows with veils in their ponytails and bowties over their t-shirts and their loved ones and spectators all cheering them on. For some it was a party run for others it was a competition for the $1000 prize, but no matter the objective everyone had a great time!
