B.J. Thomas Tickets
If you’ve never heard the song “Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head” then you have been living under a rock. The man behind that song is none other than B.J. Thomas himself. And he will be making his way to Las Vegas this spring to perform as part of a bigger United States tour.
B.J. Thomas started his career as a musician back in the early 1960s with his band B.J. Thomas and The Triumphs. And that’s where the hits began. By covering the Hank Williams song “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry,” the band reached gold disc status. And the single that followed that, “Mama” reach number 22 on the charts.
Later, in 1968, B.J. Thomas released one of his other well-known songs, “Hooked on a Feeling.” Shortly following that, the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid featured B.J. Thomas singing the song “Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head” which went on to win the Academy Award for best original song and reached number one of the Billboard Hot 100 in 1970.
B.J. Thomas continued to pump out hits and by 1972 had earned himself four gold records.
Then, the artist released the album Home Where I Belong which was the first Christian album to go platinum, thus making B.J. Thomas a star in the world of Christian music.
Since then, B.J. Thomas has continued to release songs and albums that have been widely popular in the worlds of Christian and country music. He also released the song “As Long As We Got Each Other” which ended up being the theme to the famous television show Growing Pains.
